Édition Limitée

Bottled in small runs

Most of what this house makes stays on the shelf. An Édition Limitée does not. It is bottled when there is a reason to bottle it, in the quantity the bench will hold, and when it is gone the page stays up and says so.

How a release works

  1. The run

    It is benched

A composition is blended, macerated the full thirty days, and bottled in whatever quantity that batch yields. There is no second pressing held back, and no reserve.

  2. The run

    It is released

It goes up beside the permanent collection at one size and one price. No countdown, no waiting room, no early access sold to anyone.

  3. The run

    It sells out

The page stays where it is and says so. If you asked to hear about the next batch, you hear once, when there is one to hear about.

Questions

What is an ÉCLATAUR Édition Limitée?

An Édition Limitée is a limited edition perfume bottled in a small run rather than kept in permanent stock. It is offered in 100 ml only, at one price, and it is made in the quantity that batch yields. When the run is gone the release stays on the site, marked sold out, until the next batch is benched.

Is an Édition Limitée final sale?

No. An unopened, sealed bottle returns within 30 days like anything else in the collection. Every full-size spray, an Édition Limitée included, ships with a 2 ml tester packed outside the sealed box, so you can wear the fragrance and only break the seal if you want to keep the bottle.

Will a sold out Édition Limitée come back?

It returns when the next batch is benched. That is a real intention rather than a schedule: batches are made when the materials and the bench allow, so no date is promised here. Asking to be told is the only way to know, and it is the only thing the house will use your address for.

Can I try an Édition Limitée through The Prelude?

No. The Prelude covers the permanent collection, where a tester can always be followed by the bottle it came from. A limited run cannot promise that, so its testers are not in the tray. The 2 ml tester that ships with the bottle is unaffected.

What happens when I ask to be told about the next batch?

You receive one email, when the next batch of that release is benched, and nothing else. It is not the house newsletter and it does not add you to one. Every message carries a link that takes you off the list without a login.

Twenty compositions in the permanent collection, every one of them testable before you commit to a bottle.
